A poster for 2017 Design Principles & Practice Conference
size 24" X 30"
brief
The overall theme for 2017 Design Principles and Practice conference this year is "Global citizen", this poster is intended to bring awareness to the public about how much designers get paid in different cities in the world.
In order to communicate effectively and quickly, I decided to make a simple bar chart in an interesting way. As a result, I used the currency of the country to represent annual median income, and compare it with the annual cost of living in each city. (The length of each bar is accurately measured and scaled of course. Data source is at the end of the post)
I am very honored that this poster design got selected, actually printed and displayed at the conference.
